Ignite attracts a diverse range of projects, broadly categorised as being from the high-tech sector or life sciences sector. The profiles of the delegates are equally varied, ranging from individuals who are trying to start a company through to those who are advancing an innovation within an organisation.
In order to address specific needs of individuals, the programme has been evolved so that a number of workshops and mentor sessions are run in parallel after the initial keynote session. These are tailored to specific industry requirements, to individuals focusing on start-ups or those looking at developing internal business projects.
All the delegates attend every keynote session and networking evening together in order to maintain the dynamics of the programme throughout the week. The Entrepreneurship Centre team is keen to ensure a highly interactive, cross-disciplinary but informal environment where delegates engage in new conversation, think in different ways about their projects and make practical connections to advance ideas. Regardless of the diversity of sectors and profiles, the delegates who participate in Ignite are usually self-selected individuals who have a common interest in developing and commercialising innovations.
