This was the second KRN conference to be held and the focus was on the new frontiers in electronic learning. It took place on the 1st June 2004 at MIT, Endicott House conference Center in Dedham, Massachusets.
A broad and still expanding spectrum of electronic learning materials is currently in use in universities, industry and other settings. These materials have the potential to transform education, but there are countless ways that reality may end up falling short of this potential. The overall aim of this conference is to join in the effort to codify the current state of the art and to identify new frontiers for research and action. We have the following goals:
- Summarise the State of the Art,
- Learning materials and their supporting infrastructure,
- Point towards relevant standards,
- Explore a range of application examples,
- Agree on next steps.
