Your Career
MBA Career Services is committed to providing objective coaching advice and guidance across a wide range of areas to help you achieve your career goals. We partner with you on skills development, recruitment activities and employer events to guide you towards making successful applications, securing interviews and achieving the position you're looking for after your MBA. We offer a professional and personable service, underpinned by a drive for results, equipping you with effective 'employability' tools for life.

Recruiters
We collaborate with key employers and structure our provision around MBA recruitment timelines. Our Employer Relations and Business Development activities ensure that we foster and maintain relationships between Cambridge Judge Business School and recruiters of its talent.
The top three employers for the Class of 2010/11 were McKinsey, Credit Suisse and Amazon.
Recruitment events
Throughout the year we run a variety of events hosted by leading name employers. Campus events constitute one method companies use when interested in hiring MBAs from Cambridge Judge. They also post roles on our in-house platform, contact students directly having identified them as potential candidates from the Profile Book, send MBA programme flyers to be posted outside the Careers Office and occasionally host student visits to their offices.
One-to-one coaching
In-depth individual sessions with Career Development Managers are available throughout the academic year. The first session will take place during Michaelmas Term and is designed to debrief your skills audit and identify your career goals. You can book additional sessions to discuss the following:
- Tailored CV and cover letter review
- Case or competency interview practice
- Career planning discussions
- Networking strategy
- Offer negotiation advice
Employability skills
In a highly competitive jobs market, 'employability' will help ensure that you are strongly positioned for success. We commission and implement career skills workshops such as 'Presentation Skills', 'Salary Negotiation' and 'Strategic Networking' with leading business school training companies to support your job search strategy and help distinguish Cambridge Judge MBAs from other candidates at application and interview.
Working with the Special Interest Groups on interventions targeted according to industry, Career Development Managers can help pinpoint conferences, speakers and visits of relevance to particular sectors and facilitate calls with alumni to provide insight into recruitment processes and interview experiences.
