The Classroom Is Only Part of It
Why are projects so valuable to your MBA experience?
Practise team skills
These real-life projects will really put your skills to the test, as you'll be under pressure to perform and provide results for a real client. Many students think they're good team players when they arrive, but few have worked with such a diverse range of colleagues as you'll experience during these projects. The value of collaboration is to bring different skills and opinions together to achieve a positive outcome: you'll be required to hone these skills during your intense projects experiences.
Trial your career aspirations
These projects can be a training ground for your future career aspirations. So you want to move into the Pharma industry? Then choose a project within that industry to see if it really fits. These projects offer safe opportunities to test your ideas.
Create networks
Many students later become employed by a project sponsor, so this exposure to potential recruiters is very valuable. You'll also come into contact with our alumni network through project work.
International experience
All our Global Consulting Project clients are international organisations, and many require students to work in overseas locations during their project - a great way to gain more experience working in an international setting.
Delving deeper
Each project, except the Cambridge Venture Project, can be selected by the you. This gives you the responsibility to tailor this valuable work and networking opportunity to areas which interest you or represent future career goals. If you are hoping to make significant changes to your career path, these opportunities to enhance your knowledge and get first hand experience of a new functional role or sector will be invaluable to you.
