- Cambridge attracts by far the largest investment per capita in Europe (five times that of London)
- The total amount of capital (including VC) invested in Cambridge start-ups is £600m
- Cambridge attracts 8% of the total VC investment in Europe (2006)
- There are around 900 high-tech firms within 50 miles of the town centre (36% in healthcare and life sciences, 24% in IT, 16% in communications)
