I loved the practical element of the programme that allowed me to apply what I'd learned immediately.

I became a more rounded and internationally vested individual, with the tools required to lead in my field.

Steer your career in the direction you want, within an academic environment of the highest standards.

Diversity and admissions strategy

We actively seek to admit people from all backgrounds, countries, cultures, identities and orientations to each Cambridge MBA class. There are various initiatives and scholarships in place to support this recruitment goal, and to build an active, engaged and supported community through the MBA experience and beyond.

Browse the initiatives on offer, and if you’d like to learn more and be invited to relevant admissions events, please introduce yourself to us.

Women

Cambridge Judge Business School is developing the next generation of women leaders. We do this by attracting a diverse community through our educational programmes. We research the cultures, institutions and organisations that enable more women to become successful leaders. We believe in encouraging and supporting business women to achieve their best potential.

CJBS partners with the Forté Foundation to award 50% of tuition fees to 5 outstanding female MBA students per year.

Forté Fellowships are prestigious, competitive awards that are recognised within the business school community and beyond. Forté Fellows exhibit exemplary leadership, represent diverse backgrounds, and demonstrate a commitment to advancing women in business — all of which aligns with Forté’s mission.

If you would like to be considered for a fellowship, you must first submit an MBA application to us.

The Forté Foundation Fellows Scholarship is such a brilliant initiative. I have mentored and been a mentor in several guises over the years, and I know first-hand how important female role models are to improving outcomes for young professional women and students; the Forté network plays a big role in this.

The Wider Cambridge: The Cambridge MBA Scholarship for Regional Diversity is available to candidates from regions currently under-represented at Cambridge Judge Business School – for the full list of regions and countries, you can view our scholarship brochure on our Fees & funding page.

Pride @CJBS was launched in 2019 to bring together students, faculty and staff across the Business School in support of our LGBTQ+ community. Cambridge Judge, together with this initiative, work together to create a community that anyone can join and feel at home.

Throughout the year CJBS supports student-led events for and with the LGBTQ+ community, as well as organising recruitment events from those companies who support LGBTQ+ initiatives and run talent recruitment programmes.

We also host admissions event for those interested in the ROMBA scholarship and LGBTQ+ community to discuss experiences with current students and alumni – check our events page regularly for details.

We are proud to partner with Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) to offer this scholarship to 2 people each year who help the LGBTQ+ community.

The ROMBA Fellowship was created as a joint effort between top business school programmes and ROMBA to demonstrate that business schools are the top destination to develop the out LGBTQ+ and active ally business leaders of tomorrow.

If you would like to be considered for a ROMBA scholarship, you must first submit an MBA application to us.

After coming out, I made a promise to myself that I would give back to my community and be active in promoting LGBTQ+ acceptance. Finding the right MBA programme to support me was imperative and the minute I came to Cambridge Judge I knew I had found it. I couldn’t be more grateful for the support of Cambridge in my professional and personal pursuits. Whether planning events on campus or attending conferences, I have learned invaluable lessons and met incredible people.

Military

The Cambridge MBA has a record of recruiting strong candidates from military backgrounds and educating them in the broad range of business skills required to make a transition into successful alternative careers. Graduates from military backgrounds have gone on to work in companies such as Amazon, Google, Booz Allen Hamilton and leading investment banks.

The Cambridge MBA is especially suited to ex-military candidates, with its emphasis on practical project work, which allows students to gain first-hand experience of many roles and sectors during the 1-year programme, our global alumni network and our class size, which is designed to enable the powerful Cambridge style of small-group discussion and debate between our students and faculty.

This scholarship offers up to £15,000 each to up to 2 candidates each year. If you would like to be considered, you must first submit an MBA application to us in rounds one or 2.

The Cambridge MBA will expand upon what you have learned in the military and help you translate that into business language. The military already develops many of the strengths and skills, and the leadership and critical thinking necessary to be successful in business. The Cambridge MBA can bridge that transition and cultivate the necessary communication, management, and quantitative knowledge for success in your next chapter outside of the military.
