Biography
Isam Faik is a doctoral candidate in Management Studies at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. Isam is part of the Operations, Information & Technology subject group. His research is concerned with current modernisation discourses and how they relate to the adoption and use of information and communication technologies. Isam explores modernisation processes as socio-technical change at the level of national policy, organisation practice, and individual knowledge. Isam's doctoral research is supported by a Gates scholarship.
Isam holds masters and bachelor degrees in engineering from McGill University in Canada. Prior to joining the University of Cambridge, he worked in the biomedical and aeronautic industries as a process analyst and developer.
Research interests
Technological innovation and organisational change; information technologies for development; dynamics between expert and local knowledge systems; public sector innovation; judicial information systems; multilevel research.
