Biography
Jarrod Vassallo is a PhD candidate studying at Cambridge Judge Business School on a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholarship. He is a reviewer for the Academy of Management, a guest lecturer at the University of Sydney and has been employed as an expert witness on branding and reputation by the Federal Court of Australia.
Previously, Jarrod was employed as a Senior Strategy Consultant at Interbrand, and more recently at Landor Associates - the world's two most prominent brand consultancies. In this capacity, he advised executives on all facets of brand management and creation. He developed strategy, which when executed, won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, as well as four Australian Graphic Design Association Distinctions.
He has worked with clients across government, professional services, consumer goods, industrial, technology, energy, automotive, pharmaceutical and not-for-profit sectors. His past clients have included Microsoft, Citi, Toyota, Wrigley, Domino's Pizza and Pernod Ricard.
Jarrod completed his Masters in Innovation, Strategy & Organisation at the University of Cambridge. Here his research thesis was awarded the highest mark and he finished first overall. Jarrod also obtained a Degree in Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney where he was awarded the Arthur Oakes Memorial Prize for coming first in Economic Thought and was the President of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Jarrod also taught New Products Marketing to final year marketing students at the University of Sydney.
In addition to his PhD studies, Jarrod continues to consult, write articles and give guest lectures to business school students. He resides at Magdalene College.
