The Business Doctorate (BusD) in Management Studies is a four-year programme designed specifically for accomplished, senior executive-level business leaders who have built or lead major companies and wish to embark on a rigorous programme of research on a highly relevant business or societal issue. We would expect candidates to have substantial experience in leadership positions (normally in the region of 20 years' experience) and to provide evidence that they have led major initiatives in their organisations.
The programme will enable you to:
translate your tacit business experience into methodised and rigorously assessed knowledge
identify drivers of your experience that can be applied to other contexts
enhance your knowledge and become a better leader
develop an awareness of the current academic debates of your chosen research programme
gain in-depth knowledge of the relevant underlying theories of management and methodological expertise across a spectrum of research methods
The BusD in Management Studies emphasises continuing, lifelong education and is built on Cambridge Judge Business School's reputation for high-calibre, impact-oriented research. By leveraging their seniority, unique access to context and data, and exceptional experience students are able to create impactful research.
