Professional experience
Pam Garside has her own management consultancy, Newhealth, specialising in organisational strategy and development in health care. She works extensively with boards of a wide range of health care organisations on leadership, governance and strategy issues. She began her professional life in management in the NHS and subsequently spent many years studying and working internationally based in the USA.
Pam now spends her time working with Departments of Health, with NHS organisations, regulators, and the private sector in health in the UK. She also works with clients in the US and Australia and regularly convenes international health policy meetings. Pam Co-chairs The Cambridge Health Network, a membership group of senior players in UK health, both private and public sector.
Pam is Senior Associate of the Nuffield Trust, an Adjunct Professor at Imperial College Business School, a member of the Advisory Board of Doctors.net.uk, a board member of the International Women's Forum Leadership Foundation in Washington DC, C3, a non-profit organisation working to address risk factors in chronic disease, and Diagnosis, a social enterprise promoting clinical leadership.
