Professional history

Richard Boggis-Rolfe is the Non-Executive Chairman of Odgers Berndtson, whose business is to advise on appointments for senior executive and non-executive posts in the UK and internationally.

Odgers works in a wide range of industry sectors and management functions and handles some of the most important appointments in both the commercial and public sectors.

Richard acquired Odgers in 1998 when it employed 25 people and was its CEO until becoming non-executive chairman. Odgers is now the largest British owned executive search firm with global revenue of $230m and offices in the UK, US, Australia, China, India, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Middle East, and partners throughout the world.

Educated at Trinity College, Cambridge and London Business School, Richard was an Army officer before his career in executive search. He spent two years in Hong Kong, where he established an executive search office and later became Group MD of a public company which had advertising, corporate communications and training subsidiaries.

Society & charity work

Richard was Chairman of the National Employers Advisory Board, which advised the Secretary of State for Defence on relationships with civilian employers and is now an Advisor within MOD. He chairs a small heritage charity and is Chair of a multi-academy trust of secondary schools.
