MoTI (Management of Technology & Innovation) Project

The MoTI client consultancy project is an opportunity for local companies to harness the technical and management skills of MPhil students to focus on a specific management problem.

Our MoTI students come from a range of scientific backgrounds and are studying on one of the following MPhils:

What types of project are possible?

We welcome proposals from companies a commutable distance from Cambridge on any aspect of innovation or entrepreneurship. Past projects have typically looked at marketing or strategic implications of new products or ventures.

When does it take place?

Teams of between four and six students work part time over a six-week period, usually from mid-January to March, on a strategic business issue identified by the client company. Wherever possible we try to match the students' scientific background with the client's technical base.
