Raman is a partner at Nemera Capital Group where he is responsible for the CEE region. Nemera Capital Group is a boutique merchant bank with the head office in London and was set up in 2015 by three graduates of the Cambridge Executive MBA. The firm is primarily involved in deals’ structuring and private placement, providing corporate finance advisory services. Raman specialises in fintech and renewable energy projects.
Before joining Nemera Capital Group, Raman was Deputy Chairman and CFO of Locko-Bank, a medium-sized Russian commercial bank based in Moscow, where in his capacity as board-member was responsible for a number of core functions of the bank. Raman previously worked at EY and PWC over 10 years. He worked in different countries in capital markets, transactions advisory and assurance departments. During his work in EY and PwC, Raman led and participated in various projects, including capital markets and M&A transactions, risk management, processes optimisation and strategy consulting, valuations, debt restructurings, audits and due diligences.
Raman’s experience covers a wide range of industries including banking and asset management, telecommunications, oil and gas, consumer goods, food, wholesale and retail. As General Director, Raman was also responsible for launching a new PwC office in Belarus. Raman began his career as an economist in the Investment and Project Finance Department of a Gazprombank subsidiary. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Belarus State Economic University and is a CFA Charterholder and ACCA member and fellow.
