Neil Gregory
I chose the MPhil in Technology Policy quite simply because it looked interesting and so it proved. What I didn't know at the time was that it would be life-changing.
Neil Gregory

"I joined the first cohort in 2002 in the middle of a relatively successful corporate career. Within 18 months of finishing the MPhil I'd left the corporate career, set up my own business and moved to Cambridge.

"I have been self-employed for the last eight years. My business focuses on technology transfer and very early stage start-ups; it bears some relation to what I used to do but it is certainly not an avenue I would have pursued without the MPhil. The combination of analytical skills, time for reflection and the ambience of Cambridge all contributed to my, at the time, dramatic change of direction. Be careful what you wish for is my advice ... you may end up enjoying yourself."
