Alumni Reunion 2017

Alumni reunion 2017 at St John's College group photo

This year's Alumni Reunion started on Saturday 23 July with alumni and guests arriving from every continent to reconnect with Cambridge Judge Business School, their global network of classmates and friends.

Dr Neil Stott and Professor David Stillwell, along with alumni Disha Patel (MPhil Management Studies 2002) and Bing Wan (MBA 2006), entertained everyone with some fascinating talks. Lecture Theatre 1 was full to the brim, with an overflow in Lecture Theatre 2 and 90 alumni from around the globe watching the livestream. Afternoon tea in the foyer provided a fabulous opportunity to catch up before getting ready for the reunion dinner.

Dinner at St John's College

The setting for dinner this year was St John’s College and despite a damp evening, alumni and guests enjoyed drinks in the cloisters before the group photo and call for dinner.

Our alumnae speaker, Vanessa Marcie (EMBA 2016) shared her story and the life changing impact her Cambridge Judge scholarship is providing.

Jochen Runde reminded alumni that they are Cambridge Judge Business School's greatest advocates and ambassadors and the great value the School places on their involvement and support. He finished his speech with some very inspiring words and encouraged alumni to consider supporting the School’s immediate priorities.

Anniversary brunch

The final event on Sunday was a family brunch for alumni celebrating an anniversary year (5, 10, 15 or 20 years). Whilst young children were entertained by Magic Mel, alumni and families continued to share their news and catch up with friends. Our speaker, Jasper Robertson, encouraged alumni to take a tour of the new building and shared an opportunity for them to leave a physical imprint on the School’s future by naming an individual lecture theatre seat.

Invitation to invest in our future

There are many unique opportunities for alumni to leave a physical imprint on the new building, from naming a seat, academic and communal spaces; and in supporting the School’s immediate priorities with scholarships and bursaries.
