Turtle Dove Cambridge graduated from Cambridge Social Ventures in July 2015.

Idea

Turtle Dove Cambridge works with young women from across Cambridge. We offer a combination of work experience and youth work support. The work experience comprises of working at a variety of events and usually involves greeting guests, serving food and drink and other activities that are essential to the smooth running of these events. The events range from charity fundraising events to private functions. The young women are referred through organisations such as the County Council and housing providers. The young women are keen to engage with a work type environment to gain confidence, improve and recognise their existing skill set and contribute to the community. The work we do enables young women that are or could be at risk of being NEET (“Not in Education, Employment, or Training”) to feel they are an essential and valued part of a team!
