Benn serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Operations Management, and as an associate editor at the Journal of Supply Chain Management. He is a board member of the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA), and a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, UK (MCIPS). He has held visiting appointments at University of Oxford, University of Pittsburgh, North Carolina State University, and University of Melbourne.
