Commercial Risk Europe: Risk managers warned of ‘fear multiplier’ and $1.43tn GDP loss if Ebola spreads

The Centre for Risk Studies at Cambridge Judge Business School has launched a series of reports on the potential global impact of threats including pandemics, cyber sabotage, regional conflict and social uprising. According to the reports an outbreak of Ebola virus in us and Europe “could result in global GDP loss totalling $760bn in one year and $1.43tn over a five-year period as fear spreads through the population”.
