The study will be the largest to date on crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending and other forms of alternative finance in Europe, which aims to “capture the size, transaction volume and growth of the alternative finance markets across Europe”. Raghavendra Rau, Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Professor of Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School, said this research will “enable us to develop a better understanding of how various alternative financing models work in key European markets, in turn, offer value and insights to academics, policy-makers and practitioners”.
