RTCC: EU still beating US and China on climate action, says UK envoy

Despite the greenhouse emissions agreement between China and the US being called as ‘critically important’, much more needs to be done in order to tackle climate change. Dr Chris Hope, Reader in Policy Modelling at Cambridge Judge, said “the combined pledges of the EU, China and the US still only give the world a 1% chance of staying below the ‘safe’ threshold of 2C warming”.
