The Guardian: Why has British weather been so bad?

Karl Mathiesen investigates what is causing the series of storms and floods in the UK. A number of experts took part in the forum last week, including Dr Chris Hope, Reader in Policy Modelling at CJBS. Writing with Peter Wadhams and Gail Whiteman, he said that melting Arctic sea ice may be one of the reasons for severe weather.
