Cambridge Judge Business School alumnus David Back (MBA 2012) co-founded car rental business Zoomcar in India in 2013. The company has just attracted $8m in funding from Sequoia Capital.
While small in value, the deal is the latest sign of investors’ growing appetite for startups focused on urban transportation needs, including online taxi booking, in emerging markets.
