Amazon Web Services announced the City on a Cloud Innovation Challenge, a new global program to recognize local governments and application developers that are innovating for the benefit of citizens using the AWS Cloud. A panel of experts will select seven grand prize winners in two categories: Best Practices and Partners in Innovation. Dr Mark Thompson, Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at Cambridge Judge Business School has been selected to sit on the expert judging panel.
