BBC World Service: Click: Digital fingerprints

Gareth Mitchell investigates how digital technologies – from interactive dolls to programmable devices – are changing people’s lives. Millions of people in countries like Bangladesh don’t have healthcare records, so when they turn up to healthcare clinic, how doctors can track these patients? Simprints, an Accelerate Cambridge startup, has a solution to this – they have created a fingerprint scanner in hope to improve healthcare in poor countries. The team is now conducting a pilot study in order to test the system with health workers in Bangladesh. Listen from 7mins 45secs.
