Evening Standard: Some OBR forecasts can be economical with the truth

Anthony Hilton looks at the forecasts of the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) predicting “productivity would grow at a rate of more than 2 per cent a year for the next five years despite the fact it has not grown at all for the past eight.” But according to a study by the Centre for Business Research, Cambridge Judge Business School, the economy “will slow down as people hit the highest levels of debt ever seen in this country and by 2020 we will be growing at only 1 per cent.”
