The Australian: Cost of carbon ‘should be 200% higher’

 

The new study says “the agreed level of carbon price needed to level out societal damage from climate change, $US36.70, is 200% below what is actually needed.” Chris Hope, Reader in Policy Modeling at Cambridge Judge Business School, says there is “more and more evidence coming that the damage being caused by a tonne of CO2 being put into the atmosphere is quite high.”
