The Economist‘s Schumpeter column looks at the new book Frugal Innovation: How to Do More with Less, by Navi Radjou, Fellow in India & Global Business, and Jaideep Prabhu, Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business & Enterprise and Director of the Centre for India & Global Business at Cambridge Judge Business School. The article says that while frugal innovation continues to advance in developing markets, “it is also conquering a rich world in which a financial crisis and recession have been followed by a spell of stagnant household incomes and, in parts, persistently high unemployment.”
