“Investments in unethical stocks, industries and countries have tended to outperform,” says a new report published by the Credit Suisse Research Institute. Investing in industries like tobacco and alcohol might be more profitable than “responsible” investing. The report is co-authored by Professor Elroy Dimson, chairman of the Newton Centre for Endowment Asset Management at Cambridge Judge.
