The top countries for ‘female economic power’ are Australia, Norway and Denmark. Spain is ranked No 15. A new study, headed by Sucheta Nadkarni, Sinyi Professor of Chinese Management at Cambridge Judge Business School, found that increasing the economic power of women throughout society is a key factor in women reaching and staying on corporate boards. Spain is ranked 15th in the world for ‘female economic power’. Curtis Arledge, vice president of BNY Mellon and CEO of BNY Mellon Investment Management said that this new research “highlights how important it is to empower and support women in all stages of their careers.”
