Crowdfund Insider: Asia Pacific research: Dramatic growth in alternative finance is fuelled by huge China market

The Asia-Pacific alternative finance market grew 323 per cent to $102.8 billion in 2015, led by four-fold growth to more than $100 billion in China, finds first regional benchmarking report co-authored by Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), the University of Sydney, and Tsinghua University. “Our title for this year’s report, ‘Harnessing Potential’, reflects the common challenge that all countries in the region face regardless of the state of alternative finance development,” said Robert Wardrop, Executive Director at CCAF.
