Financial Times: Peer-to-peer lenders morph into traditional banking

 

Emma Dunkley looks at the peer-to-peer lending market and why some companies such as Zopa decided to move to mainstream banking. The article mentions research by the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at Cambridge Judge, which found that “banks and other institutions accounted for a quarter of lending on P2P sites.” (subscription).
