Chris Hope, Reader in Policy Modelling at Cambridge Judge Business School, has tested his global warming theory with a bet that won him £2k after 2015 record heat. Dr Hope made a wager five years ago against a pair of scientists who reject man-made global warming and said that the temperature on Earth would be cooling by 2016.
