Research co-authored by Dr David Stillwell, University Lecturer in Big Data Analytics & Quantitative Social Science at Cambridge Judge Business School, found that that people who frequently curse are being more honest. “The relationship between profanity and dishonesty is a tricky one,” said David. “Swearing is often inappropriate but it can also be evidence that someone is telling you their honest opinion.”
