Faced with all sorts of information, project managers need to merge various signals to make judgments and it might get tricky when the signals consist of a mix of bad news and good vibes. A study co-authored by Dr Kishore Sengupta, Reader in Operations Management at Cambridge Judge Business School, found that managers tend to prioritise “good vibes” over “bad news” and this can result in poor decisions.
