Speechmatics, a startup that converts spoken language into written text, has launched a new software Automatic Linguist (AL) that will potentially help people to learn any language just in few days. “There are over 7,000 languages in the world, and our ultimate goal is to make speech recognition technology available to as many as possible,” said Speechmatics’ Tom Ash. The startup was on the Accelerate Cambridge programme run by the Entrepreneurship Centre at the School.
