Audio Analytic, an audio intelligence firm, will be working in partnership with Bragi in order to incorporate a sound recognition system into headphones and other “hearables”. Dr Chris Mitchell, CEO of Audio Analytic said: “For us, the next logical step beyond smart homes is the fast-paced hearables market where audio experiences are fundamental, there is rapid development of new capabilities, and where not needing a tether to the cloud is an advantage.” Dr Mitchell is an alumnus of the Ignite programme at the Entrepreneurship Centre.
