A wearable for cows and other livestock that helps farmers monitor their herds has been given a £60,000 grant. Cambridge Animal Technologies Ltd, known as CATL, have received the Eastern Agri-Tech Research & Development grant, which will be put towards the development of livestock management product Smartbell. The founders – Jose Chitty and Veena Adityan – are Cambridge MBA alumni and have been on the Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship Centre’s Accelerate Cambridge programme for over three months.
