A study led by Raghavendra Rau, Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Professor of Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School, is featured in the article. The study compares 125 open and closed investment funds between 1993 and 2004. Professor Rau advises not to rush into recently opened funds: “The reason they reopen is because they’re not doing too well. If they continued to do very well, they never would have reopened,” he said.
