Eastern Daily Press: Prison Voicemail praised by academics for helping strengthen family ties

 

The work of the Prison Voicemail startup that helps prisoners communicate with their families has been endorsed by academics. Researchers from the University of Lincoln found that “63 per cent of prisoners who responded said it helped them behave better in prison, while 83 per cent of families and 93 per cent of prisoners said their relationships were better because of Prison Voicemail.” The startup was on the Cambridge Social Ventures programme run by the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation at Cambridge Judge.
