Dr Simon Taylor, Senior Faculty in Management Practice at Cambridge Judge Business School, discusses the bankruptcy of Westinghouse Electric Company. Simon thinks the company will now “have a harder time” as China was their big hope: “The Chinese, so far as I can tell, will never buy another AP1000 again,” Taylor says. “The global market for new nuclear stations is pretty small outside China. The Russians, Chinese and even the Koreans have much more compelling and cheaper offerings than Westinghouse.”
