A study co-authored by Dr David Stillwell, University Lecturer in Big Data Analytics & Quantitative Social Science at Cambridge Judge, found that people who swear are seen as more honest. “If you’re trying to follow the social norms rather than saying what you think, you are saying what people want to hear. In that respect you are not being very honest,” David said.
