Military Review: Doctors at war

 

A review of the latest book by Mark de Rond, Professor of Organisational Ethnography at Cambridge Judge. The book titled Doctors at War: Life and Death in a Field Hospital stems from Mark’s research over 16 months, including six weeks of fieldwork in 2011 at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. “This biography takes the reader from predeployment to the hard-hitting, daily trauma associated with combat operations, capturing the essence of operating under lifesaving conditions every day,” writes Lt. Col. Jason E. Pelletie of the US Army.
