Smithsonian: Want to learn Cherokee? This startup is teaching endangered languages

Inky Gibbens, founder and CEO of Tribalingual startup, talks about her venture and why it’s important to save endangered languages. “When languages die we lose an incredible opportunity to learn about our collective human psyche. This is because languages aren’t just ways of communicating, they are fundamentally ways of thinking as well,” she says. Tribalingual seeks to save languages from extinction by encouraging new people to learn them. Inky is currently on the Accelerate Cambridge programme run by the Entrepreneurship Centre at Cambridge Judge.
