The Economist: For some plaintiffs, courts in China are getting better

The Centre for Business Research’s Research Associate Dr Ding Chen, who is Senior Lecturer in Law at Sheffield University and co-investigator with Professor Simon Deakin on the CBR’s research project on ‘Informal Finance in China’, has been cited in an article in The Economist discussing reform of legal processes in China. The article concludes that the “Chinese legal system is becoming more professional and fairer when it comes to strictly commercial disputes and basic administrative problems”.
