The Guardian: ‘Bank of mum and dad’ making housing market more unfair, study finds

A report co-authored by Cambridge Judge academic found that 34 per cent of first-time buyers in the UK turned to family members for financial help compared with 20 per cent in 2010. Dr Paul Sanderson, research Associate at the Centre for Business Research at Cambridge Judge, who lead the report said “only better-off young people with parents who had accumulated housing wealth were likely to consider home ownership unless there were radical changes to the housing market.”
