Four students from the University of Cambridge have designed a chatbot that “translates” legal terms into plain English so that victims can talk about their situation and get advice. LawBot was launched in November 2016 and can comment on 26 criminal offences so far. The start-up has been accepted to the Cambridge Social Ventures programme, part of Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation at Cambridge Judge. (subscription).
