The Times: Dying languages given new lease of life online

An interview with Inky Gibbens, founder and CEO of Tribalingual startup. The startup seeks to save endangered languages from extinction by encouraging new people to learn them. Inky says the inspiration for the company came from the fact that her grandparents’ dialect is considered endangered: “I wanted to become an academic and do something about it,” she says. “But it was a bit too slow, so I decided to start this company.” Tribalingual is currently on the Accelerate Cambridge programme run by Cambridge Judge’s Entrepreneurship Centre, and Inky is also an alumna of Cambridge Social Ventures run by the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation at the School.
