Wired: This algorithm knows how you will vote based on the car you drive

Dr David Stillwell, University Lecturer in Big Data Analytics & Quantitative Social Science at Cambridge Judge Business School, comments on a study that draws demographic conclusions and voting likelihood based on cars spotted in Google Street View. David says the study is “a neat demonstration of what’s possible with image analysis now on a large scale. Any situation where we’re making choices from hundreds or thousands of options reveals something about us.”
