Arzte Zeitung: Wines are excellent assets


Wine is a great investment asset and can bring good returns in the long term. A report co-authored by Professor Elroy Dimson, Chairman of the Newton Centre for Endowment Asset Management at Cambridge Judge, looked at the prices of unopened wine bottles from 1900 to 2012. The report says that wines have achieved 4.1 per cent annual growth over the 112-year period, so wine investment return “significantly exceeded that of government bonds, art paintings and stamps.”
