The winners of the SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards, supported by Cambridge Independent, have been announced in Newmarket last week. Kath Austin, founder of BeeBee Wraps, won the Entrepreneur of the Year award. The startup produces eco-friendly washable food wraps that can last up to 12 months and is an alternative to plastic. Kath said: “The team and I are commited to our vidion of cutting plastic pollution and reducing food waste for a more sustainable future.” BeeBee Wraps is currently on Cambridge Social Ventures programme, run by the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation.
